Choosing what to automate
How to enable per-intent auto-send safely on Handlet Pro.
Choosing what to automate
Handlet Pro lets you turn on conditional auto-send one intent at a time. Nothing sends automatically until you enable the master switch and choose which intents to automate.
Start with one intent
Most workspaces start with a single low-risk intent:
- Follow-ups — routine nudges when guardrails pass.
- New leads or General enquiries — instant replies when you need faster first response.
Enable one toggle, set your confidence threshold (minimum 85%), and monitor the Action Queue for blocked sends before adding more intents.
Stage 2 — Training progress
Each intent row on Channels & Tone shows a training bar:
- Validated count increases when you approve sends, edit drafts before sending, or answer Was this correct? (Yes or No — not Not now).
- The bar shows progress toward the platform minimum (30 validated messages by default, 50 for complaints).
- Ready for auto-send on the bar does not mean auto-send starts instantly — platform guardrails, your master switch, and the per-intent toggle still apply.
- Until training is complete, the per-intent toggle is locked and bulk presets leave that intent off.
See Calibration and confidence bar for full counting rules.
Per-intent toggles
| Intent | When to enable | Extra gate |
|---|---|---|
| Follow-ups | You trust routine follow-up wording | Master switch + transparency ack |
| Quote requests | Pricing is usually resolved in Handlet | Pricing guardrails must pass |
| Booking requests | Required booking fields are usually complete | Guardrails must pass |
| New leads | You want faster first replies on inbound leads | Master switch + transparency ack |
| General enquiries | Same as leads for general questions | Master switch + transparency ack |
| Review replies (publish) | You want high-confidence review replies published | Reviews at two stars or below stay manual |
| Complaints | You want low-severity acknowledgements only | Separate complaint acknowledgement required |
Bulk shortcuts
- Enable all eligible — turns on every training-ready per-intent toggle in one action. Complaints still require their separate acknowledgement.
- Disable all — turns off every per-intent toggle without changing the master switch.
- Automate ready replies — turns the master switch on and enables training-ready intents in one save. Intents still training stay off. Use this only when you have reviewed each intent type and accept the automation scope.
When not to use Full automation
Do not apply Automate all eligible replies if:
- you have not reviewed pricing guardrails for quote automation
- you are not ready to opt into complaint acknowledgements (complaints stay off without a separate ack)
- you prefer to ramp automation gradually (use single-intent toggles instead)
- you have not built Stage 2 training progress for the intents you expect to auto-send
Platform rules always apply
Even with every toggle on, Handlet never auto-sends risk, noise, unknown, or unsupported intents; messages below your threshold; high-severity complaints; reviews at two stars or below; or sends when credentials or disclosures fail.
