Using the Inbox
Open, review, and act on customer conversations from the shared inbox.
Use the inbox to move from "a customer contacted us" to "someone has handled it".
Basic workflow
- Open the inbox from your workspace.
- Select a conversation from the list.
- Read the latest message and previous context.
- Review any suggested next action.
- Draft, approve, assign, archive, or follow up as appropriate.
Dictate a reply
When voice dictation is enabled for your workspace and your browser supports it, open Write or the guidance field in AI assist, then select Dictate reply. Allow microphone access, speak for up to 90 seconds, then select Finish dictation. Handlet stops automatically at the limit.
The literal transcription is added without removing text you already typed. In Write, review and edit the reply before using the normal send button. In AI assist, review the transcription as guidance and select Generate draft separately when you are ready. Dictation never sends, approves, or generates a reply automatically.
The audio and unsent transcription are used transiently for the requested OpenAI transcription and are not saved or logged by Handlet. If permission is denied or transcription fails, your existing text remains unchanged and you can retry or continue typing.
When to pause
Pause before sending if the customer asks for pricing, legal commitments, policy exceptions, or anything that could affect safety, privacy, or trust.
